The headline sounds like a piece written by a gold bug or a conspiracy theorist. But it's not. These are remarks made by Thomas Hoenig the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City to a Budget Reform Policy Forum on Tuesday. I don't remember a sitting federal reserve bank president being this outspoken. It is an indication of the depth of his concern about the looming crisis. |
